The Teachers' Lounge
What do you do as a teacher when things go wrong at your school? When things go wrong with a student or a fellow teacher or staff member or parent? The Teachers’ Lounge, a film set in a German school, challenges you to think about such a predicament. The film was Germany’s nominee for best international film at this year’s Academy Awards. 

The Nickelodeon is screening it for one night only: Tuesday, April 9th at 6:30 p.m. 

After the film there will be a short discussion with Christian Anderson, Professor of Higher Education and Director of the Museum of Education, who works on comparative education and on education in popular culture, and Agnes Mueller, Professor of German and Comparative Literature, who teaches and writes on contemporary German literature and culture and has direct experience with the German school system.
